3. Purpose of data processing

We collect and process all information you provide as part of the application process. This includes your personal data and contact information as well as details of your education, employment history, qualifications and skills. You also have the option of providing us with electronic copies of documents such as certificates, letters of reference or cover letters.

4. Legal basis for data processing

Personal data is only processed for purposes related to your interest in any current or future employment with us and to process your application (i.e. for processing your application as well as for the conclusion of a contract of employment).

This data is processed in accordance with Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). We also process your data to comply with statutory requirements (e.g. regulatory compliance, retention periods as stipulated by commercial and tax law) in accordance with the relevant legal provisions in conjunction with Article 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR.

If you have consented to processing, your data will be processed in accordance with Article 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

5. Data recipients

Where necessary, your data will be shared with the following categories of recipient:

  • The relevant company within the relayr Group for which the vacancy was posted* or with which the employment contract is concluded. *) If you have consented to being included in the applicant pool, your data will be forwarded to the company within the relayr Group where the vacancy matching your profile has been posted.
  • IT service providers (provide information and telecommunications services)
  • Courier services (delivery of documents)
  • Document shredding and data destruction services (proper disposal of files and data carriers)
Only the relevant point of contact will process and register your application. All employees entrusted with data processing are obligated to protect the confidentiality of your data.

6. Retention period for personal data

As soon as we receive your application, your data is stored. If we are unable to offer you employment, we will keep the data you provided for up to six months, unless otherwise required by law. This is done so that we may answer questions relating to your application or an unsuccessful application.

If you have consented to being included in the applicant pool, your data will be stored for a further three years once a decision regarding the vacancy has been reached, unless otherwise required by law. This way we can contact you about future job opportunities.

The corresponding obligation to provide supporting documentation and retention requirements arise from the German Commercial Code (HGB) and the Fiscal Code of Germany, among others.

7. The right of access, right to object and the right to lodge a complaint

We hereby explicitly advise you of your rights in accordance with Articles 15 to 21 of the General Data Protection Regulation. These include the data subject's right to request access to their personal data from the data controller, the right to rectification of this data, its erasure (the right to be forgotten), as well as the right to restriction of processing and data portability.

You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data.

We hereby advise you of your right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority regarding the processing of your personal data.

8. Withdrawal of consent

Where you have consented to the processing of your data, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent prior to withdrawal. The declaration of consent contains detailed information on withdrawal of consent.

9. Providing personal data

You are not contractually obligated to provide your data, nor is this required by law. It is, however, required for us to process your application. You provide your data voluntarily. If you do not provide your data, we will not be able to process your application.
