TECHNOLOGY MIDDLEWARE

OUR UNIQUE
ENGINE.

There are almost as many digital transformation systems which transmit to on-premises, hybrid or universal clouds as there are freeware cloud data management systems on the market. Software integration, data processing, data collection or, most significantly, the generation of the necessary datasets for your specific goals, all require a lot more than simply fitting sensors and sending masses of data up to a cloud. To paraphrase the analogy in relation to data collection on industrial equipment, finding needles in haystacks is a tricky enough process in itself, the last thing one needs is more hay. Relayr’s middleware sifts through the hay and presents needles in the form of business positive solutions for optimization, system repair or system enhancement. The needles come in any shape or form you require.

Years of collective multi-disciplinary experience led to the development of relayr’s unique data processing Engine which serves as the linchpin for your whole digital transformation journey. Our platfrom is device-agnostic, interoperable and manages multi-tenant environment specifically created for Industrial IoT. In addition, its platform modular architecture makes it easy to add support for new protocols and new types of devices as required by the market and our partners. To put all of this this into plain English, the Engine gathers data from any IIoT device, collates and bundles it, and then makes it useful in the form of business relevant aggregations.

Our solution leverages the power of leading cloud computing providers. Our Customers can select their preferred environment like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, as well as on-premise and hybrid installations.

THE ADVANTAGES
FOR YOUR INDUSTRY.

INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT
MANUFACTURERS

Device data ownership creates the opportunity for smart and fine-grained data point collection from entire fleets or batches of equipment and machinery dispatched to end users. Immediate benefits for machinery or equipment manufacturers/lessors comes in the form of performance analysis and R&D input for future products. The use of digital twin modelling enables device availability monitoring and confirms the security and compatibility of IIoT firmware updates. Centralized system management gives you the option to create rules to protect equipment in compromised conditions or to enforce warranty conditions, thus preventing avoidable equipment damage. Platform can create SMS or email notifications to record and document warranty events such as first installation, location change or reconfiguration.

INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT
OPERATION

Relayr platform quickly and easily groups devices by lines or by shop floor areas and manages these as clusters. Our middleware has hardwired Artificial Intelligence components which first ‘learn’ the equipment then search for problems and pass on alerts. By familiarizing and mastering the inner states of machines and line processes, relayr’s middleware engine will quickly locate device types and device names, even in previously unknown equipment, and identify the devices where it measured fault-trigger values. System administrators and managers have the ability to create multiple user profiles and remotely manage access rights accordingly. Audit logs confirm who, when and which devices were interacting or reconfiguring the system.

INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT
SERVICE COMPANY

In larger production lines it is essential to find discrete issues affecting the whole system. Our engine will quickly locate the device types causing issues or malfunctioning, even on parts of the system which were previously ignored. The Engine searches for and flags bottlenecks, malfunctions or underperforming equipment; this can have an immediate effect on the overall OEE values. To prevent further damage to the line, once threat factors to equipment have been identified, engine can also be set up to automatically adjust or isolate/stop the faulty function or system until it can be repaired or addressed.

Easily adaptable and configurable APIs and widgets will export relevant sensor and device data to planning and stock management systems to support wide servicing needs within the business. Additionally, audit logs enhance support systems as they provide remote diagnosis based on the middleware generated ‘machine lifecycle events’, preparing maintenance or service crews to tackle acute issues.
